Cookie Notice
Last updated June 19, 2026
This notice explains the cookies and similar technologies Nomad on Atlas uses. It complements our Privacy Policy.
What cookies and local storage are
Cookies are small files a site stores on your device. “Local storage” is a related browser technology that keeps small amounts of data on your device. We use both sparingly — for essential features and for analytics.
Essential & functional
- Theme preference (local storage) — remembers light/dark mode.
- Your planner situation (local storage) — keeps the income, household and home-country numbers you enter so they persist as you browse. This stays on your device.
- Compare selection (local storage) — remembers the countries you add to the compare tray.
Analytics
- PostHog — sets cookies / local storage (e.g.
ph_*) to measure product usage and power session replay (with all inputs masked). Served via our own/ingestproxy. - Google Analytics 4 — sets cookies such as
_gaand_ga_*to measure traffic and distinguish visitors.
For details on what these collect and how to opt out, see our Privacy Policy.
Advertising
We do not use third-party advertising networks or cross-site tracking cookies. Any sponsorships we run are sold directly and served from our own site, so they do not set advertising cookies on your device.
How to control cookies
- Open Cookie settings (in the footer) to accept, reject, or fine-tune analytics and session replay. EU/EEA/UK visitors see this prompt automatically on first visit.
- Adjust or block cookies in your browser settings.
- Use a content/ad blocker to stop analytics scripts loading.
- Install the Google Analytics opt-out add-on.
- Clear your browser’s local storage to remove saved preferences and your planner situation.
Blocking essential storage may reset your theme and planner inputs, but the site will still work.
